Ahhhh ‘Top Gun’, those were the days. It all looks a bit homo-erotic now, but back then it was awesome. And I challenge any hot blooded male to say that, back in ‘86, they didn’t want to be up there amongst the clouds, a firm joystick between your legs and Mach 2 up your butt. Well, soon you may get that chance, and in the comfort of your trusty Jesus-Phone. Snake Head Software have released screenshots and video (see below) of a new flight game, called Flying Aces, that promises action over simulation. So for people who find X-plane to be a little too real, or dare I say boring (no I don’t!)… then this may be the game for you.
Flying Aces is the first true dogfight game for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Sit in the cockpit of an F-15 Eagle flying over the Persian Gulf, you will fly head to head against enemy warplanes and gain rank, competing against other iPhone users by shooting down as many planes as possible.
