We have a limited-edition Broken Sword Comic to give away, signed by artist and Co-Creator of Watchmen, Dave Gibbons…
We attended a Broken Sword event last week in London, which you can read about here. Dave Gibbons of Watchmen fame created new art for the directors cut of the game, as well as creating a comic which added some back story to Nico from the game. The director of Broken Sword, Charles Cecil of Revolution Software, also signed it.
To be in with a chance of winning, simply tell us why it should be you. The most creative answer will win, so try and theme it around the game. Leave your answer in the comments section below and don’t forget to supply a valid email address so we can contact you. This is a great opportunity to get hold of a rare gaming collectible… so get creative. [UPDATE: A disappointing turnout for this competition, but we have a winner... and they are... George Stobart! Check your email for details.]

I need the comic because I can at least read the game’s story, as I cannot play it thanks to my iPhone continually crashing when I use Spotlight, being unable to handle “too many apps”…. or so they say

I need the comic because when I was younger I used to play George Stobbart. Wandering around the playground picking up random pieces of junk and trying to combine them. One day I found the teachers keys and got a reward! Now I am in university studying Games Design just so I can create brilliant games like the Broken Sword series.

I’d love to have a copy of the comic to help me understand the extra story elements dealing with Nico and her investigation of the murder and the truth about her father…..but then again….that might just spoil the fun? Please…let it be me…I never win anything in competitions!

I need this comic, and if I don’t get it I will take my life. And you will have blood on your hands.

As reported by Cecil in an off-record interview.
“Right before Nico destroyed the Sword of Baphomet, she discovers an ancient manuscript. Inside, a prophecy of her own adventure with George is told, in pictures. The cover features a Templar and the words ‘Shadow of the Templar’ against a blood red medallion.
Startled by what she uncovered, Nico hides it from George so she can investigate it further.
Inside there’s a name, ‘Signatus’, and a sentence besides it, written in blood - ‘He who shall guard this mirror of the future, this vessel of power’
The name of Grand Master David Gibbons is underwritten in an hurried fashion.”
If you ask me, you shouldn’t mess with the Order and just handle the manuscript to it’s appointed keeper. Just in case it’s true and all..

I need this comic, because I really am George Stobart and I need to work out how I’m going to get that damn goat to stop headbutting me when I try and climb down the ladder.
My player just doesn’t get it, and everytime he tries I’m the one who ends up getting bruised.
Sometimes, I think that he does it for fun just to spite me, because I can only move with a mouse pointer and he likes to show how much control he has. I mean, making me go down in the sewers was pretty bad, but then standing next to that Irish guy as he sneezed on everybody was 10 times worse. That was a really traumatising experience for me. Especially when my player decides to go and eat his dinner and leave me standing there unable to move! 45 minutes I was stood there, sneezed on every 10 seconds or so!
Once I’ve got that down I should be alright, though I’m definitely looking forward to going back to Paris so I can have a decent shower and get a change of clothes.

@George Stobart
When the goat knocks you over move the plough, trapping the goat.
There, now you don’t need the comic anymore.
(Yeah, I know, this is playing low. But I have to eliminate the competition if I want the comic, and George is a tough one to beat :P)

Good lord,
Give it to George already.
