Well, according to Engadget, the iPhone game peripheral is heading into production as we speak. However, without support from Apple and the games developers, I doubt it will be a success… as of now it will only work with jail broken iPhone’s and emulated games. From the mockup, the d-pad looks a little small and out dated, and I’m not sure the iControlPad will have legs without an analogue stick!
While it’s a good idea in theory, I don’t think the iPhone really needs it… If Hero of Sparta has proved anything, it’s that virtual analogue touch controls can work a treat.
