Chillingo have released new footage and details of their Vampire action game, Vampire Origins…
The game pits Dracula’s arch-rival Van Helsing against legions of underworld creatures. Chillingo compare it a bit to Diablo, and that you’ll feel right at home with Vampire Origins. It utilizes a simple battle system by ditching complex inventory and weaponry in favour of a point-and-click approach of attacking creatures by tapping them. While it may sound boring on paper, Chillingo assures us that the fast-paced action will balance things out.
The game is due any day now… in the meantime check out the new video footage below, as well as a selection of new screens.

Yes it has been submitted. Guerrilla Bob and Cogs were approved within a few days of submitting, so expect it to hit Monday.

I’m not sure if I’ll like this point and click control system. i like to be more in control of the action, but maybe they’ll pull it off. i guess I’ll soon find out…

Interesting . . .I am eager to see what peoples’ impressions are of the point-and-click idea.
The game itself looks gorgeous and cool as hell.
