    • Valkyrie – Galaxy on Fire 2 add-on announced

    We awarded GOF2 a 4.5/5 and Editor’s Choice back in 2010, and we can’t wait to get back out into space for more action.

    Valkyrie will offer a new storyline along with plenty of new ships, weapons, and equipment. According to Fishlabs, Keith Maxwell, the hero of the first and second parts, must face a mysterious and cunning new enemy. For a long time, he has no clue who is really pulling the strings in the monstrous conspiracy which threatens not only him, but his friends as well.

    ‘We don’t want to give away too much at this point, but Valkyrie isn’t just a typical game add-on,’ says Michael Schade, CEO of Fishlabs Entertainment. ‘Above all, the elaborately voiced story, which takes players to new systems, a variety of ships from a completely new class, and unique weapon types make Valkyrie a new title in the successful Galaxy on Fire series.’

    Galaxy on Fire 2 – Valkyrie will be available for download ton the AppStore at the end of April as an in-app purchase. At the same time, a retro-pack with high-resolution ship models from the first episode of Galaxy on Fire will be added as a free update.

    The beta version of this add-on will be shown at the Game Developer Conference (GDC) in San Francisco next week. We’ll be there to get hands-on with the update, so stay tuned for that. In the meantime check out the teaser trailer below.

      It’d be interesting to ask them whether they plan to bring some of the graphical enhancements from the Tegra 2 version over to the iOS version. If the Tegra 2 enhancements were done with the assistance of nVidia engineers then the limitation in bringing it over is probably more having to do with nVidia claiming shared ownership of the improvements rather than a major performance disparity between the SGX535 and Tegra 2.

      Valkyrie is what touch gaming is all about. Cutting Edge graphics, and a full fledged game that you can dive into for hours. Creative concept and design their is no game like this coming out on any other console. This is a flagship game for any itouch device

      hope this finally adds throttle control. Really enjoyed GOF2, so excited about this.
