Paramount have announced that they are partnering once again with Freeverse for a sequel to their arcade jet fighter game based on the movie of the same name…The first game saw you take to the skies as Maverick and Goose and take on multiple bogeys. The main hook was to avoid flying into the danger zones. We gave it a average score of 3/5. Hopefully we’ll be taking to the skies and humming the catchy theme tune once more with the promise of more jets and more guns, including the F-16 Falcon, F18 Hornet and F15 Tomcat, as well as Vulcan cannons and smart bombs. The game will make use of the added graphical prowess of the new devices released since the last game, including fullscreen anti-aliasing, shader effects and enhanced specular and particle effects for more realistic environments.
