Ok, first things first. I’m sorry if I got your hopes up for an iPad version of the game… no, this is simply the iPhone edition running 2x on iPad. The reason why I’m showing you this? Well I was going through some of my iPhone games to see which ran well on iPad, and so far for me this is one of the better games, and an example of where it could be seen as a better experience on iPad.
With the iPad in the Apple case and set at an angle, playing Street Fighter IV on it feels close(-ish) to playing the game on one of those arcade style joysticks you can get for consoles. The joystick is a lot bigger obviously, and so are the buttons. While having two hands free also allows for butter button mashing. Of course I still suck at the game, but to me it feels much more natural than thumbing it on iPhone. See for yourself in the video below. Lets hope Capcom decide to bring it natively to iPad.
