Neon Surge, creators of side scroller action game Solar Quest, have released Solar Blaster on the App store today. The game looks to be a 3D scifi twist on Duck Hunt. Where you are required to shoot down wave upon wave of attacking Borg inspired ships. Your mission? To defend your mother ship and honour your country.

From the initial screen shots it looks promising, but we’ll reserve judgement until we see it in action. Solar Blaster is available now for $1 here.
