ngmoco have released a trailer for their hotly anticipated sequel ’Rolando 2: Quest for the golden orchid’.
The trailer shows that the world of Rolando has been struck by a deadly curse. Luckily one plucky rolandite takes up the challenge to find a rare Orchid that can cure the land, joining him on his quest include King Edward XVII, the Royal Highness of the Kingdom of Rolando and General Sir Richard Smythe, Captain of the HMS Plunderful, who will aid you on your journey to a mysterious island where you must battle fierce creatures, and navigate challenging obstacles in order to find the orchid.
Towards the end of the trailer you’ll notice that the gameplay is now presented using a 2D/3D hybrid engine instead of the flash like 2D level design of the original.
