Rainbow Six: Shadow Vanguard dated

As tweeted by my good self a few hours ago, Gameloft will be releasing Rainbow six on March 17.

A re-imagining of the 1998 PC original. As well as a single player campaign, this iOS edition features 11 levels which can be played over both local and online three player co-operative play. It will also feature a 10 player multi-player mode.

The game will hit the AppStore on March 17. Naturally, we’ll have the skinny on whether it’s any good, but in the meantime check out the new trailer below:

:( let me guess, “Does not support iPod 2nd generation” The new games are awesome but it’s a piss of when you have see all these screenshots but when you download it it looks like shit.

    @ Phillip
The screenshots are always taken from the latest idevices. Of course games will look substantially worse on old devices. I saw a screenshot comparison of Real Racing 2 between an iPhone 4 and an iPhone 3G, and I was shocked at how much the graphics have improved over the past couple of years.

Unfortunately that’s the price of progress. And the main downside to iOS gaming. If the iPhone was a dedicated games console, you’d have 3-5 years before it being defunct. But, with the speed of handset advancements and the general way the mobile industry works. Newer, more powerful handsets are always looming just around the corner.

It’s an improvement that gameloft’s games now don’t support old gen devices , if they keep sticking to the old gen devices , the games will look terrible
