Firemint announces party play mode. A four-player split-screen TV mode for Real Racing 2…
You can’t find a new Apple hardware launch without Firemint being close behind with an announcement of their own. And here they are with an update to Real Racing 2 optimised for the A5 chip of the iPad 2 and the newly announced iPhone 4S. The Real Racing series has always pushed the new devices, with Real Racing HD showing off what the iPad could do, Real Racing 2 showing off what the iPhone 4 could do, and Real Racing 2 HD showing off iPad 2-TV 1080p output. Now they’ve done it again. Just in time for the launch of iOS 5 and the iPhone 4S, a new update will allow up to four players to to compete wirelessly on one TV in split screen mode. The game also features visual upgrades optimised for the A5 chip. It’s no doubt the most expensive four player setup out there, but if all your friends already have Real Racing 2 and iPad2′s (or iPhone 4S’s on preorder), then it looks pretty awesome.
