Paperboy coming to iPhone

We’ve just received word that UK developer, Elite Systems, will be bringing the 80’s classic ‘Paperboy’ to iPhone and iPod Touch this December…
The game is being given a facelift, with assets recreated in 3D. You will be able to view the game in it’s classic isometric view or in 3rd person view. A trailer is forthcoming, but in the meantime check out the screenshots below:

The graphics look terrible. It’s sad the iPhone is going through the same graphical re-birth we went through when the PSX came onto the scene. We went from no-frills-but-still-enjoyable 32-bit pixel graphics, to muddy, awkward, low-polygon counts and jaggy animations that just age terribly.
