OrderBorder.com launched

OrderBorder.com, group deals on Apple products has been launched. I am a fan of deals, Apple products and online shopping. To me the idea behind Order Border is really cool. The more people buying the lower the price of the item at hand. All items are for iPhone/iPad/iPod and Mac. The best thing is that there are already some notable brands connected to the site such as Sena, Macally and Elgato. A notification can be sent for upcoming items by either creating an account, or using Facebook. A point system is used to easier show how the price is affected. For US customers this seems like a really neat idea, but for us outside the US single item bargains aren’t realistic due to shipping costs and customs charges.

The press release from Order Border:

APPLE FOCUSED GROUP-BUYING WEBSITE, ORDERBORDER.COM IS INTRODUCED WITH A TWIST VIA NEW SOCIAL-MEDIA-POINT-SYSTEM

OrderBorder.com Features Deals on Items That Complement iPhones, iPods, iPads, and Macs

IRVINE, CALIF. – Oten Inc., the company behind several Apple accessory brands such as Sena and DomeSkin, launches a new group-buying website targeted directly to Apple enthusiasts and owners of any Apple products. The new website, OrderBorder.com, will feature accessories, software, and peripherals for iPhones, iPods, iPads, Macs, and Macbooks.

Order Border differentiates itself from other group-buying websites with its unique focus on Apple gear, and also the “Borderline Price” concept. The borderline price is the absolute lowest price limit that:

-‐ Either the group can reach with its growing size, as users join the deal -‐

Or an individual can reach with a new social-media based point system

deal1The unique point system provides users the power to accumulate points, not only with every purchase, but also by inviting their FaceBook friends and others to join in on the savings. This empowers users to earn extra points when their friends purchase the same product from OrderBorder.com. Points can be used to pull the purchase price down even farther than everybody else in the group.

“ We brought innovation to the group-buying experience, not only with our focus on Apple gear but also by empowering users to go beyond the price that the rest of the group is getting. Unlike Groupon or LivingSocial, OrderBorder allows the individual to reach a price lower than the group price with his/her social skills,” said, Murat Yesildal, Vice President of Order Border. “We have completed a tremendous amount of work over the last year on the concept, technology, and have agreements secured with many respected vendors,” he added.

Initially, the deals will be limited to two deals a week. The first deal features a $50 voucher from premium leather case manufacturer Sena. This deal starts with a 42% savings. Additional upcoming deals listed are from Elgato, Macally, and Matias.
