New releases round up

Here’s a list of few little games that have been released recently.

spheroids

Sphereoids

A 3D spin on the classic game of asteroids. Looks pretty cool and might be worth a punt for $1.99

Destroy all asteroids to complete each level. Tilt the device to move the ship and find all targets (number of targets show on top left of screen).

Touching anywhere in the screen will fire the main weapon. Touching with two fingers will activate the bomb and destroy all objects close to your ship. Hit multiple targets without a miss for combo points. Extra life every 10000 points.A global rankings system is in the works for the next update.

wild-west1Wild West Guns

Gameloft’s wild west shooter has now available for $4.99. We previewed it here. Set in a Western environment, Wild West Guns brings back all the fun of carnival and arcade shooters:

 18 challenges featuring typical Far West environments (saloons, deserts, stables, trains, etc.)

 Diverse targets and enemies (cowboys, sheriffs, signs, flying sombreros, balloons, vultures)

 Interactive backgrounds that allow you to shoot elements in the environment to earn more points

 Extended lifespan thanks to 5 different game modes

 Exclusive weapons available only in this iPhone version: enjoy using the shotgun for extended damage and the machine gun to blast the background

 Use the touch screen to aim and shoot and the accelerometer to free yourself from the grip of an enemy

luziLuziBraq

A strangly named Whack-a-mole style game, with an interesting art style that sees you facing off with another player on the same screen. I do love a good Whack-a-mole game!!

It’s available now for $0.99

saburoDetective Saburo Jinguji Waiting for sunrise

This Japanese only game looks similar to the Pheonix Wright series. According to the description this is series number 17. If there are any Japanese readers out there let us know what it’s like! It’s available now for $2.99 but, again it’s in Japanese language only.

papiPapi Jump Land

Another game for Japan, featuring the popular iphone character of Papi – a red smiley face. In Papi Jump Land you must guide Papi across isometric platforms by tilt only, to collect hamburgers. It’s great fun but the graphics are not pretty. Definitely worth the $0.99 price tag.

FYI, other Saburo titles are in the app store, in English. Look under Jake Hunter, the Anglophile port of this series.
