Mos Speedrun hitting touchscreens April 7

Physmo will release its retro inspired platformer on the AppStore this Thursday …

We got hands-on with the game back in March which you can check out here along with a video of the game in action… and we’ll have a full review up in time for release.

The game has the unique ability to be booted from a web link or qr code, which will download a web level. This allows Physmo to add levels to the game
without having to do a full release. Look out for some special custom levels on TouchGen soon.

Currently the game is for iPhone and iPod Touch only, but a universal version is in the works for the next release, making use of iPad’s larger screen size.

Game facts from press release:
• 20 Stages set across 4 distinct graphical styles, with more levels planned for
updates.
• 8bit graphics.
• Multiple challenges per stage – time trials, coin collecting, and finding hidden crystal skulls.
• Many, many replay ghosts on screen (looks awesome but can be turned off).
• Awesome chip-tune soundtrack by Je Mappelle [http://8bc.org/members/Je+mappelle/]
• Fast paced, responsive game-play. Great old school platform feel and creative level design.
• Two control modes – dual button and virtual d-pad.
• Game centre speed tables and 30 trophies to earn.
• Price US: 1.99, UK: 1.19, EUR: 1.59
