With the launch of Monkeys in Space: Escape to Banana Base Alpha for iPhone and iPod touch only a short time away, we have a contest for all you space monkey fans! Yes, you can win some exciting Monkeys in Space prizes and have some fun at the same time! What are the prizes, you ask? Well take a look at this:

  • 1st Place: A Monkeys in Space T-Shirt, a $25 US iTunes Gift Certificate, an Amigurumi Space Monkey made by Rob LeFebvre of The Portable Gamer, and a promo code for Monkeys in Space when the game launches!
  • 2nd Place: A $25 US iTunes Gift Certificate, and a promo code for Monkeys in Space when the game launches!
  • 3rd Place: A Monkeys in Space T-Shirt, and a promo code for Monkeys in Space when the game launches!
  • 4th & 5th Place: A promo code for Monkeys in Space when the game launches!

So now you must be dying to know what you have to do to have a chance to win such amazing prizes, right? Well I’ll tell you! It’s simple!

  • Create a Monkeys in Space: Escape to Banana Base Alpha-themed diorama
  • Use anything you want to make it: cardboard, markers, popsicle sticks, stuffed monkeys, yarn, pencils, paper, glue, pennies, anything at all! (BUT: it must be real…that is, not digital)
  • Include the text “Monkeys in Space: Escape to Banana Base Alpha” somewhere in the diorama
  • Take a photo of the diorama when it’s done (max size: 1024 x 768, JPG format)
  • Email it to: contest@streamingcolour.com along with your full name
  • Entries will be added to the Contest Entries Page until the contest closes (11:59pm EST, Sunday, November 29, 2009)
  • A panel of judges will select their favourites and award the prizes!

Official Contest Rules:

1) You must have a valid US iTunes Account to enter the contest.
2) Your diorama must contain the text “Monkeys in Space: Escape to Banana Base Alpha” somewhere in it.
3) You must submit a photo of your diorama by 11:59pm EST on Sunday, November 29, 2009 to: contest@streamingcolour.com
4) The photo must be JPG format, no larger than 1024 x 768.
5) A winner will be chosen from all eligible entries and posted within a week of contest close.
6) Promo codes will be sent to top 5 judged entries when “Monkeys in Space” becomes available on the App Store (or when the winners are decided, if the game is already available)
7) You must provide a valid email address which we can use to contact you in case you win.
8) Winners of physical prizes will be contacted at contest close to request a mailing address.
9) Winners of T-Shirts may pick either the Red or Yellow monkey shirt in one of the following styles: “Basic Dark T-Shirt: Black”, “Basic T-Shirt: White”, “EDUN LIVE Eve Ladies Essential Crew: Black”, “EDUN LIVE Eve Ladies Essential Crew: White”, or “Ladies Baby Doll (Fitted): White”.
10) One entry per person.
11) Your name will be posted with your diorama photo on the contest website.
12) Streaming Colour Studios reserves the right to reuse your diorama photo for current and future promotional purposes.
13) Winners are judged on a subjective basis by the 4 judges.
14) Family members of Streaming Colour Studios employees, or of the 4 judges are not eligible for prizes.
