The Blimp Pilots, creators of Koi Pond, have released a new casual game called Distant Shore. The $0.99 game involves a chillaxing stroll across an endless beach, collecting seashells and sending and receiving messages from the outside world through the use of messages in bottles.
“Distant Shore allows iPhone users to communicate in a brand new way,” said Andy Skirvin, Co-Founder and Engineer at The Blimp Pilots LLC. “Every time I run Distant Shore, it’s full of great surprises. I’m very excited to see what iPhone users from around the world do with it.”
Features of Distant Shore include:
- Communicate with people from all over the world
- Beautiful 3-D graphics
- Soothing ambient sound effects
- A fun new way to express yourself
The game reminds me of Animal Crossing, which also features shell collection and finding and sending message in bottles to other towns. Check out the video below

I don’t know if I would call it exciting, but it does look interesting.
