Mass effect hits AppStore

EA released Mass Effect yesterday. The prequel of sorts to the next game in the console series, sees you playing as Jacob Taylor, fighting alien terrorists.

The action takes place in a a top down view with enemy lock-on and firing automatic, leaving only directional control down the player via tilt. As with the Bioware created console original there are many cutscenes where you must make choices. These choices supposedly change the way the game plays, but the word on the street is that i doens’t quite work that way on the iPhone edition.

We had a short hands on with the game at E3, and while we dug the art-style, we didn’t exactly leave impressed. We’ll no doubt have a review up soon, but if you can’t wait until then, hit up the AppStore and get the game now for $4.99.

have got it and ain’t impressed the only thing that’s any good bout it is the branching conversations which makes me think why didn’t they just do a interactive graphic novel.
Oh well just another big console game tarnishing it’s name by putting out pap on the mobile scene.
