Mac Slope rider coming soon

Monte Boyd are releasing their successful Snowboarding game Slope Rider for the iPhone. Originally available on Mac, the developer has ‘painstakingly’ redesigned the game for the iPhone, taking into account the unique interface. There’s already Namco’s Alpine racer, but one of the problems with that game was the lack of realistic board and snow interaction, which this game seems to address.

Slope Rider main features at glance:
- 13 complete courses.
- Two game modes – Alpine (timed race against the computer) and Freestyle (perform tricks for points).
- Hundreds of possible trick combinations with grabs, turns, flips and rail slides.
- Two playable characters with unique abilities.
- Full 3D graphics.
- Finely tuned accelerometer controls for movement with intuitive touch controls for acceleration and grab tricks.
- Price: USD$2.99.

We’ll have a hands on with the game soon, check out the screens and video below:

ALL RIGHT! YEAH! COOL! Ya that wont get old after 2 runs lol.

But the game looks cool and fun. The dev has gotten some feedback about the lame voices so hopefully he makes some adjustments to that.

Should be a good snowboarding game to tide us over til SSX.
