After seeing the videos on Gizmodo about the signal problem, I decided to try a different solution.
On short notice the guys at ZAGG hooked me up with an Invisible Shield. This covers the front, back, and most of the metal sides and top.
After getting it installed we were unable to duplicate the signal loss problem, however after a bit of fiddling we were able to get it to break again.
Where the skin covers the metal it seems to help protect against the signal problem, but it’s still possible to get your skin on bare metal and the problem comes back.
Bottom line? The ZAGG skin seems to make it harder to create the signal problem, but not impossible. More testing will be done today to see if this is still the case
Thank you ZAGG for the shield! http://zagg.com
