iPhone 3.0 OS Keynote

In case you’ve been living in a cave for the past week, Apple just announced details for the upcoming 3.0 OS update for the iPhone this morning.

 

There’s not a ton of exciting user-end stuff, but there were a few nice things mentioned, including some new games/apps! There is also a rich variety of new APIs for developers to take advantage of. Here’s a quick roundup of some of the info that was given. Let us know what you think about this stuff!

    man i REALLY hope it’s used for that purpose! so lame when my bro and i are out and about and can’t play together.

    In App Purchase is a big one for consumers. Buy additional levels for your favorite game. iPod song access is also a good for gamers. Enhanced accessory support could also be interesting, but not quite sure how yet, Subscription capability for episodic (sp?) games, In game voice support. This is by far the best mobile gaming platform around!
