Good video reviews. Little more mic volume would be good too.

The Ocarina intro, although somewhat weird to me, brings up a good point. If a major dev would port or make a new landmark game from a sure hit franchise like Zelda, Mario, Halo, etc. for the iPhone, that would likely be the catalyst to propel it far ahead of the competition and posture the iPhone as the clear winner of handheld gaming. It may not be officially at #1, but it seems it is becoming the de facto.

The iPhone has a long way to go yet to de-thrown the DS, to be honest it can only get better, but I think Nintendo will always have the upper hand.

Mic volume? sounds loud and clear to me!

I found Nigel’s video review of Brothers in Arms to be a very sad time. Because as he pointed out, the iPhone just might not be capable of having a compelling shooter experiance on it. Shooters are my favoite genre on “reak” consoles, so it makes me sad to see that shooters just might not work.

Well the DS had the same problem but they now have some pretty good shooters. So lets hope someone gets it right.

I think some on-rail FPS action would work great. House of the dead style ;)

I agree. Long way to go to de-throne the DS. Nintendo has always been king in handhelds.

I’m also still holdin out on FPS games. I think they will at least improve in mechanics and control…but it will take more time. Maybe by iPhone 2.5 or 3.0!

I think SimCity for iPhone qualifies as a great game for a future Vidcast! Why? Because the menu system plays a large role in the game, plus zooming in/out on land…and how well this works or doesn’t is cirtical methinks…so let’s SEE it in action…per review, thanks!
