    this game looks freaking awesome!!!!

This game is totally different from what I expected from Epic Citadel. But still looks really ambitious trying to raise the bar of iOS gaming.
I forget about all the hypes made by gaming sites such as IGN, Toucharcade or even Touchgen.
No free roaming? Good. No length and depth of console level? Even better. I will enjoy this game on day 1.

It looks so amazing. I just hope, since there isn’t much room to explore and stuff like that, they made a whole lot of battles, so we don’t shoot through it, and that they either get significantly harder, or this guy is just making it look like a breeze. Looks perfect in the previews I just hope it’s not a one day play. Hopefully Multiplayer will be motivation to keep playing!

The beginning is super easy, the game gets much harder, requiring your full attention and skill to keep going.

There are a whole lot of battles. Also as reported on some other sites, after you finish the game a plot technique allows you to keep all your stuff, and your experience and play through again, only this time they get much harder. This cycle keeps going for a while too, maybe infinitely.

So, the only thing that we can do is pass the castle and fight with these guys over and over again?

And level up, and learn new magic, and get more skilled. Thinking about it the formula is a bit like the Monster Hunter series where they focused on combat and character development, but simplified or removed everything else.

ok i got it, infinity blade isn´t a game with a lot of hours based on history and missions, its a simple game based in the game system, well i imagine that with the multiplayer everything gonna be better. But, it doesn´t make bored ? how much hours of gameplay are thinked for this game?

Alright, I must admit that with all the great-looking games coming for iOS in the next month I was hoping that Infinity Blade would be lame so I could save my money for the titles I already knew I wanted, like Real Racing 2 and Aralon. When I heard that there would be no free roaming in it I assumed that I’d be happy to allot my budget towards those games and away from Infinity Blade. But having now seen all these preview videos and the interview, I’m thinking I will have to have Infinity Blade, especially if they put some effort into the multiplayer aspect.

I think that a lot of what Donald says re: making the controls intuitive to the device actually makes good sense even if it’s not in some ways what we iPhone gamers want to hear. We all want amazing console-like experiences on our favorite mobile device after all, right? But I have to hand it to chAIR, this looks undeniably fun and immersive in ways that many titles do not, and as a cinematic gaming experience it’s gorgeous and seems well-conceived.

It’s just a shame that Matt will have to put Donald in the hospital for using the term “iTouch.”

Hello Nacho. I wish to ask about the replay system. I know that your little knight will fight the God King and when you fail to defeat him your son will carry on the fight. Will the experience and inventory chain carry on if you do defeat the God King and start a new bloodline?

  • http://twitter.com/nachorevolution Nacho Andrade, USA

Yes, it does carry over, even if you defeat the God King. So you know I’ve beaten the game and kept on playing, this game is awesome.

  • Andrew

How many times did it take you to defeat the God King?

God it’s good to be an iOS gamer. Infinity Blade, NOVA 2, Shadow Guardian, Eternal Legacy, Battlefield, Real Racing 2, and Starfront.

Eat that Android. iOS does what Droidon’t. I can’t wait for Infinity Blade!

Infinity Blade quickly leaped to #1 in the iTunes store in less than 24 hours after its launch, unseating the Angry Birds franchise. That has to count for something.
