Nemesys Games’ racer is ported from Steam to iOS in under a month…
Ignite is an arcade racing game currently available on Steam for PC. Like a mix of Burnout, Need for Speed and Split Second, it’s all about pulling off stunts in order to earn points to boost your nitrous, allowing you to get ahead of the competition.
As you can see from the video below (running on steam) despite its arcade feel it’s no slacker in the visuals department, with great lighting and detailed car models and environments. Well, the folks at Nemesys sent us a couple of screenshots (above) of the game running on iOS (presumably an iPad 2) and it looks very nice! Apparently it only took one of their engineers 3 weeks to get it running on the Nemesys engine, though it is very much still in the early stages of development.
