Help Purple save his friends in this cute Korean point & click adventure…
Help Purple is a new game from Gameday where you must guide a purple creature through his village and surrounding land, in search of his friends who have all been captured by a monster. His friends, however, just so happen to be gods. The snow god Nix, the rain god Imber, and the Arcuses – the seven gods that make up the colours of the rainbow.
Like most point and click adventures, you must find objects and solve puzzles in order to clear a path for Purple to advance. A cool feature that reminds me a little of Nintendo’s Kirby, is that once you have saved a friend, you will gain their abilities. An example of this would be gaining the power of fire from one the red rainbow god, allowing you to melt ice that is blocking Purple’s path. Others include the power to control light, find hidden objects, control plants, and the ability to manipulate water.
What really piqued my interest for the game though, is the simplistic but quirky art-style. Its 2D, but the coloured characters look to really burst from the screen.
Look out for Help Purple hitting the AppStore in February. In the meantime be sure to check out the screenshots, and trailer below.
