I’ve debated back and forth in my mind whether or not I should do a full review of Tap Tap Revenge 2, but it seems pointless since it’s a free game and it’s similar to the other ones. Instead I have decided to just give you guys a brief hands on of what I think of the game without actually attaching a score to it.
It’s good. Ok, I’m done. No, I’m kidding of course, but in all seriousness, it is really freakin’ good. It’s as good as a free game can possibly get. It doesn’t come with a ton of songs from the start, but I’m fairly sure they did that so you can download the game without being connected to wifi, and to that I say, genius. I hate having to connect to wifi to download games when I’m out and about, so props to Tapulous for doing it this way.
There is an insane amount of songs to download, all of which are free. They even added a “kids” difficulty level, but I think they should have called it noob level (perfect for Nigel). It really blows my mind that it’s free, because this is easily a 5 dollar game. One of the key factors for me in any game is value. I look at every game and think about whether or not it’s worth the price of admission, and honestly I’ve seen some garbage on the iPhone that isn’t even worth free. Not calling out any games in particular here, but I’m sure you’ve all downloaded some free games and been like “wow, that’s 5 minutes of my life that I will never get back.” We’ve all been there, and fortunately, Tap Tap 2 WILL NOT leave you feeling like this at. It’s more like, “wow, that was 7 hours well spent, now if only I could find 7 more hours to play it.”
I could sit here and rant about how awesome it is all day, but you all probably already got it, but on the off chance you didn’t, stop reading me ramble, turn on your iPhone and download it now, because it’s great.
