It just so happens that the best action games were also first person shooters. And so it’s the same winner and runner up here in Gameloft’s Modern Combat and N.O.V.A. 3, despite some strong competition from Madfinger Games. But, in terms of campaign and multiplayer – and despite Modern Combat making some headway into better AI and controls – it’s N.O.V.A 3 that wins out.
