It’s certainly Rovio’s year in terms of game releases. Taking their Angry Birds IP to new places, with Angry Birds Space, and Angry Birds Star Wars. But, it was the birds’ mortal enemy in Bad Piggies that impressed us the most, earning it a runner up place in this category. Ultimately though, The Sandbox took the crown. A wonderful time killer that is perfect for those who enjoy experimenting, destroying, and building. The Sandbox does for 2D games what Minecraft has done for 3D, in that it provides a world where creativity is limited only to what the players can come up with.
