The third Battle Bears game is upon us, and the kind folks over at SkyVy Entertainment has supplied us with 5 cool plush teddies to give away to our readers.
Battle Bears Blast is a casual shooter designed for use with only one hand. Our favorite Battle Bear Oliver returns to killing huggable adorable teddies. But this time the weapon of choice is a microwave set on overdrive.
The game is set to be released on the 12th of July at $0.99. If you aren’t familiar with Battle Bears I urge you to try the earlier games, as the action and comedy is at really high levels. There are also free lite versions to try.

STORY:
Aboard the Ursa Major ship, OLIVER has to save the day when WIL forgets to clear the holodeck of HUGGABLES. Away from his trusted weapons, OLIVER ends up using a super-powered microwave to BLAST away all the remaining HUGGABLES before they hug him to death. WIL tries to help but only gets in the way with a bomb he doesn’t have a clue what to do with.
GAME DESCRIPTION:
Just slide one finger around to blast away hordes of Huggables out to hug you to death but DO NOT SHOOT WIL!
BLAST can be enjoyed for just 60 seconds at a time or as long as you can survive with your super-powered Macrowave. Simple, fun and addictive, BLAST is the world’s first one-handed casual shooter perfect for all occasions like waiting in line, weddings, job interviews, detention, and dropping the kids off at the pool. Get higher scores by blasting as many same colored Huggables in a row as possible. Use the White Huggables as wild cards to make bigger combos!
BLAST features two action-packed game modes packed with Game Center achievements and leaderboards.
• 60 SECOND MODE – Blast away as many Huggables and Nuggs as possible! Hit as many color combos as possible to boost your score.
• SURVIVAL MODE – See how long you can last without getting hugged. 3 HUGS AND YOU’RE OUT!
CUSTOMIZE YOUR OLIVER in the BACKPACK menu by achieving various objectives. Objectives include blasting certain color combinations of HUGGABLES.
Customizations include:
• Helmets
• Armor Packs
• Skins
• Macrowave upgrades to kill certain enemies faster
• Maps
POWER UPS include:
• Blue Nuggs – slows down time to help you blast more enemies
• Purple Nuggs – doubles point values for enemies for a short period of time
• Yellow Nuggs – continually blast the Yellow Nuggs to rack up free points
• The Bombs (when not attached to WIL) – clears the screen of current enemies
FUTURE UPDATES to include:
• New maps, helmets, armor, and skins
• New enemies and power ups
• New game modes including multiplayer
