The classic grid racer is the next in line for a makeover in Namco’s Generations series…
The retro arcade action of Rally-X, a cross between Pac-Man and racing, returns in Rally-X Rumble. This sequel brings a brand new neon look and new gameplay modes to iOS. The game includes two modes: a new spin on the classic game, or take on up to four players in nine new modes. It looks pretty interesting ans sounds like they havn’t just done a half-assed visual upgrade only.
Features include:
• Enhanced graphics and intuitive controls.
• Up to 4 player multiplayer.
• Unlock Game Center achievements and rise to the top of the online leaderboards.
• Nine modes of play:
New Rally-X Classic – The classic gameplay with enhanced graphics – collect all the flags on the map to finish the round and proceed to the next.
New Rally-X S – Compete for the highest score by capturing the flags that appear on the map one after the other.
Paint the Town – The player that paints the biggest area on the map wins.
Free Run – Rack up the most distance in this mode to win.
Tag – One player avoids the other players on the map. The player being pursued has a Pursuit Gauge which rises while evading opponents. If the gauge reaches the top, the pursued player wins. If an opponent catches the player, their roles are reversed.
Sprint – A race around the track for the checkered flag. The first player to cross the finish line wins.
Assassin – A specific target is set for each player. Players earn points by crashing into their targets to take them out.
Obstruction – Capture flags placed on the map to create obstacles for your opponents. Earn points for each time another player runs into your obstacle.
Capture the Flag – Be the first to capture a set number of flags placed around the map.
The game is still in approval, so look out for it to hit the AppStore in the next few weeks.
