Fish sure do love their Sushi, to go.
Sushi2Go is a cute top-down delivery adventure from Sudden Games. The graphical style and gameplay reminded me a bit of Rock n Roll from TAG games, but on a higher level. Your job, as a sea turtle, is to deliver sushi to the creatures of the ocean. (ironic, huh?) Of course, there are plenty obstacles in your way such as sharks, jellyfish, and other creatures. The level design has you swimming through various reefs to accomplish your goal.
The artwork for the game is very colorful, and the cartoony animation looks great. The sound also sounds like it’s gone through some nice polishing. The reason I mentioned that the game reminds of Rock n Roll is the level design. It’s 2D, with a layered background and foreground. From what I gathered, you control your turtle by either tilting or touch depending on what you prefer.
In addition to the standard gameplay, the game also includes various mini games as you progress. Some that we saw were a maze game, a match 3 game, and a collection game while avoiding jellyfish. The addition of these helps keep things
fresh as you aren’t stuck with just one gameplay mechanic for the entire play period.
Overall Sushi2Go seems very polished, and is definitely a game to check out. It’s currently available now for $1.99, and is also available as a lite version to try before you buy.

It looked like a lot of fun from that demo we got, too bad the dudes mic was messed up so we couldn’t hear most of what he said.
