Gangstar: West Coast Hustle

Gameloft have shared with us details of their upcoming GTA-a-like game GANGSTAR: West Coast Hustle. Unlike games such as Payback and CarJackStreets, the game features full 3D environments… and more than a passing resemblence to GTA3: San Andreas, with it’s style firmly rooted in LA gang culture. As is usual in this type of sandbox game, you are free to drive, steal, shoot, mug, and kill just about anything in and around the city limits.

There are no details yet on how controls work for walking, but we know that driving can be controlled via touch or accelerometer, in what we presume will be a similar style to Asphalt controls, and that shooting will be a simple as tapping on the desired target.

No GTA style game would be complete with out a pumping soundtrack as you cruise down the west coast… and so a variety of radio stations are promised, featuring a mix of hip-hop, rap, reggae, electro, and punk rock.

Look out for more information as it comes our way. In the meantime check out the screen shots below. West Side!
