First screenshots of ‘Star Wars: The force unleashed’ released by THQ

THQ have released exclusive screenshots of their upcoming Star Wars game ‘The force unleashed’.

 

THQ Wireless will publish Star Wars: The Force Unleashed on the new iPhone, the next generation mobile gaming platform in 2008. Using touch-screen technology, and 3D graphics in portrait and landscape modes. the game lets the player harness the awesome power of the Force while assisting Darth Vader in his quest to rid the universe of Jedi.”

The game features gesture based control, using the entire screen to input gestures which appear in icon form above enemies and objects. Successfully pulling off the correct gesture unleashes certain jedi/sith powers on the unsuspecting foes.

From the screenshots, the game looks to utilise 3D polygonal characters, on prerendered backgrounds. Similar to a graphic technique used by Team Ninja in their recent Ninja Gaiden game for DS, which also featured gesture controls.
