Marble Blast is coming to the iPhone, and it looks goooood.

I just finished a couple rounds of the new iPhone version of Marble Blast from Garage Games, and I am impressed to say the least. This game is practically identical to the console and PC versions of the game, and I dare say it controls better than those versions. It’s a combination of tilting to move, and tapping the screen to adjust the camera or jump, and it feels very natural. The 3D engine is also impressive, with some nice bump mapping and reflection effects.
At it’s current state, Marble Blast features local WiFi multiplayer (the same modes as the XBL Arcade version) that tentatively will support from 6 – 12 players at once, as well as 20 single player levels. It also includes some of the fun features of the original game like the ability to choose between different marble designs.
The game is slated to be submitted to the App store in about a month, so expect a full review when it’s out!
UPDATE: Game is coming soon! See this recent news post for more details.
