The raunchy-yet-loveable family is coming to the iPhone soon!
Though it has been available on other mobile phones for a bit, Family Guy is getting polished up a bit for the iPhone for a release this September by Glu Mobile. Since it’s not yet available on the iPhone, we played the Android version of the game. It should be noted that the iPhone version is supposed to look quite a bit better!
Family Guy basically has you playing through an “episode” of the show using various mini games. There were 7 games in the Android version, and I’m hoping there will be more for the iPhone version. It seems that the plot strings together some of the favorite moments from the series, like Brian running from Stewie’s violence after not paying him $100, or Peter’s ongoing battle with the Chicken. The games are played using various controls taking advantage of the touch screen.
The game looks pretty good, and we got a few chuckles from the cutscenes between the games. It’s a shame that Glu wasn’t able to license the voice for the characters. All the dialogue is done through text. Still, what we saw was funny stuff, and looks to be a fun game for fans of the show.
