Check out this comparison video of Epic’s Citadel running on the new Sony NGP (left) and the iPhone 4 (right). While the quality of the NGP video is bad (believe me it looks way better!) The NGP version boasts improved visuals, such as lighting, particle and crowd effects, and is a much larger citadel. Interestingly the NGP utilises an Arm A9 Cortex chip, the same as the chip rumoured to be in the iPhone 5 as the A5 chip. So, will we see a similar quality of gaming as seen on the NGP (similar in PS3 quality) on the iPhone 5? Of course it’s not all about CPU, the NGP features a quad core GPU too, but we could see similar specs on the next iPhone. And with NGP not releasing until the holidays, we may see it sooner when Apple announce the iPhone 5 in the summer.
