Madden 11, Sim City Deluxe, RISK, R-Type, Sims 3 Ambitions and Reckless Racing (formerly Deliverace)…
EA were strangely quiet on the iPhone and iPad front at the E3 Expo this year. But we’ve just been contacted by EA with this upcoming slate of games for iPhone and iPad.
Madden NFL 11
First up is Madden NFL 11. Now don’t ask me anything about American Football, as you know I’m a limey soccer fan, so anything to do with NFL just goes over my head. What I can tell you though is that EA have taken the previous release for iPhone and made it all the better with a new control scheme called Total Defensive Control. This is technical gubbins for more realistic play. Also a new feature called Gameflow allows those of you less interested in the playbook to get more of what you want, the on field action. Lastly the game employees a Wii like drawing mode allowing you to directly draw players movements on the field for a more intuitive experience. Add to that improved graphics and an HD version for the iPad and for Madden fans,then Fall won’t be coming soon enough.
Reckless Racing
Next up is a game we have been eagerly following from a studio called Pixelbite. Their upcoming racer called Deliverace impressed us with its smooth and detailed graphics and arcade style Super Sprint or Micro Machines-esque gameplay. Well, now it’s been taken under the EA wing and re-released as Reckless Racing. Not only will it be coming to iPhone and iPod Touch, but also the iPad. Look for it to hit the AppStore soon.

Sim City Delux
Sim City Deluxe is next on our EA list. With improved controls, better performance and more scenarios, this newer version of the original will hit the AppStore in the next few months.
Sims 3: Ambitions
…Keeping with the Sim theme, another DLC update to the SIMS 3 is coming soon in the guise of Sims 3: Ambitions. This update allows you to follow your Sims hearts desire and turn their dreams into full professions. How about a police man, town mayor or local sex pest!
RISK
Speaking of dominatrix… We were hoping to see RISK on the show floor at E3 this year, but alas it was nowhere to be found. Now though screens and details have emerged of the game, but no news on an iPad version. The world domination game will feature up to six player multiplayer and realistic AI opponents for you lonely people. Expect to see it sometime this summer.
R-Type
Next is a classic, and a ruddy hard one at that. I love R-Type, but can hold my hands up and say that I truly suck at it. Still that hasn’t stopped me from buying it on any console it appears on. Well as you no doubt already know, it’s coming to iPhone this summer. And here are some new screens:
Well, as you will no-doubt agree that that’s a pretty good lineup for the IOS devices. Lets hope EA keep this up, as we all want to see the next Tiger Woods game in HD on our iPads and iPhone 4′s… complete with play away mode! if you no what I’m saying!!!!
