We take a look at Beeline’s Tamagotchi style game where you hatch, breed and sell monsters.
The story goes that a close relative is retiring and wants to generously leave you his Monster Pet Shop. The purpose of the game is to manage monsters by incubating eggs, hatching them, then looking after them and keeping them happy before putting them up for adoption. If you don’t check back often they will run away to find a better life elsewhere.
There are five different classes of monster from which you can choose one egg for free from the start to place in the incubator. Types include dirt, water, air, and burrowing. There are 20 different monster types in all, with over 100 unique looking monsters from breeding others together.
The game is free to play, but if you can’t wait for your monster to hatch you can speed up the process using the in-game currency called monster berries.
Once hatched you must place your monster in a habitat for where the monster will live of which there are 4 different habitats to choose from.
To mature the monsters in preparation for adoption you must make them happy. Feeding them, playing with them, and cleaning their habitat will increase their happiness. There are various objects which differ from creature to creature from which to choose from, all available by growing and selling (or adopting) monsters to make money.
As a social aspect to the game you can cross breed your monsters with your friends.
The game is definitely for the casual crowd, but it does look like a fun and cute management game. If you are a fan of Tamagotchi, then you’ll no doubt like this too.
