Today we got a brief visit with the fine folks at Artificial Life to check out their new iPhone games that are being brought to iPad. They didn’t have playable builds of the games, but they did bring plenty of screen shots so we could see how their artists were doing with the much more powerful iPad hardware.
So far things are looking good for iPad gaming from Artificial Life. They have their iSunkyou game coming soon. For those unfamiliar, it like like the board game battleship, but in full 3d. Having it on the iPad of course makes it look a ton better. It features pass and play multiplayer, which seems like it would be more enjoyable on the iPad’s giant screen.
Their other game that is coming to iPad is Red Bull F1 Racing. As I have said before, I think racing games really benefit from being on the iPad, and by the looks of the visuals, Red Bull F1 is no exception. Granted, we didn’t get to see the game in motion, but based on the still screen, it looks like they have done a great job increasing the resolution from the original iPhone version.
They have some big stuff in the works that aren’t showing yet, including some updates their hit game Linkin Park 8 bit rebellion, so be on the lookout for Artificial Life in the coming months.
