DrawRace 2: Racing Evolved

Red Lynx and Chillingo team up to bring us a sequel to Drawrace…

For those who have not played the original, the game sees you drawing the route of your race care directly on the track. Taking care to focus on the best route possible while bearing in mind the approach to corners and hitting the sweet spot, or apex. Once drawn, you hit go and see how your car does.

This new version of the game adds five different race types – stock cars, formula, rally – as well as an all-new turbo feature,  a world league, and 180 separate career challenges.

The game has been giving a visual boost too. The original had cartoony feel to it, whereas this has a more grown up 3D ‘Death Rally’ look and feel. So it should at least appeal more to the hardcore racing crowd.

Key features include:
- Touch-based racing controls
- Global Leader Board and local Hot-Seat multiplayer
- Physics-based racing with 16 different cars
- More than 32 varied, 3D-rendered race tracks

Look out for Drawrace 2 in Q2 of this year. Check out the cool teaser trailer and screens below:

The original Drawrace is still the best local multiplayer game for iOS. Even doublesized it beats everything hands down on the iPad as well. Can’t wait for the sequel!!!

  • Game on!

Hopefully in the sequel, they found a way to make cars interact with each other. What I didn’t like about the first was that all the cars just went through each other like they weren’t even there. But so far I’m loving the more advanced sketching and planning of the car’s movement.

I am soo stoked about this game! Looks way more realistic than the 1st one. Can’t wait to try it out.
