Marc Ecko Entertainment today announced that “DEXTER The Game”, the long awaited game for iPhone and iPod Touch, is out now on the App Store for $5.99.

The game is based on Season One and offers you the chance to take the role of the serial killer dectective himself. The outcome of every choice and action you make revolves around the Code of Harry: only kill the guilty, maintain the “mask”, and above all, don’t get caught!

“We are thrilled to give iPhone and iPod Touch owners a way to experience DEXTER in a fresh, engaging way,” said Len Fogge, Executive Vice President, Creative, Marketing, Research and Digital Media at Showtime Networks. “The minute you begin controlling him and hearing his innermost thoughts, you are completely engrossed.”

We’ve been playing the game this week, and will have a review out shortly. In the meantime you can read up on our hands-on with the game at both GDC and E3 earlier in the year. We’ve got footage of the game in action from the E3 showfloor below:

Good game so far. I don’t think it would hold much interest though if you are not a fan of the show or books.
