The packaging it came in was pretty smart but nothing too special. A triangular case with the buds at the top, like and object of worship atop a paper pyramid. Inside I found the buds, a bag, and two sets of replacement ear tips (foam and silicone). After wrestling the earbuds out of the package I still didn’t know what to think. I was quite impressed by the plug and the cord. The cord is thin, and wrapped in the patented “invisible shield” material making it very strong, sturdy, and tangle resistant. This cord was impossibly thin, but felt stronger than any headphone cord I had seen before.

Today’s Friday Freebie is 3 $25 dollar gift cards from ZAGG (Zealous about Great Gear). ZAGG makes protective skins, headphones, and custom printed skins for the iPhone. Earlier this week I got to sample their products and I have to admit I am impressed. So far the headphones are fantastic (check out the hanging loose cord) [...]

Woo!! It’s that time again, the Friday of free stuff. Today we have something to help keep your headphones in place while on the go. Instead of just wrapping your headphones around your phone and letting your buds dangle all over you can use BudTrap to keep them in line.

What a day! I sat down with the developers of Ravensword Josh and Russ just as their highly-anticipated game was released to the App Store. It was clear they were still giddy with excitement as we discussed how Ravensword came to be. They also divulged some great tips for the game as well as telling us which iPhone games they play most (besides Ravensword).

Ravensword is out, and it’s awesome. You’ve seen the video, read about it’s rejection, maybe even heard about our interview, but now it’s finally out and you get to wrap your greedy fingers around your phone and dive into the world of Ravensword yourself. Well today I’m going to review the game and hook you up with a game guide from the developers to help you navigate through your new adventure (at the bottom of the page). So go get your cutlass and buckler, make those adjustments to your codpiece, sit down, and read on.

Yes, Eliminate is free to download, but we can’t help but review it anyway. As you must already know, Eliminate is the latest iPhone FPS deathmatch game from ngmoco :). However, Eliminate varies from a normal FPS in several ways. First, is the idea of credits. You kill other players online (while you have energy) [...]

IGN has posted some sweet screen shots from the upcoming Ghosts ‘N Goblins game for the iPhone. It looks like a very different game from the PSP version, except for the simlar 3d/2D graphics style. Also different it seems you have more than one person to choose from, and the bosses and weapons look super [...]

What do aliens, ninjas, and unicorns have in common? Well… nothing actually, but they are all featured in The Iconfactory and DS MediaLabs Ramp Champ. This is an adaptation of the classic game of skee-ball for the iPhone.
When you launch the app you’re greeted with a nice banner that is sure to remind you of your favorite carnival or festival. If the banner fails, the music that follows surely can not. The entire look and feel of Ramp Champ does a fine job convincing you that you’re playing skee-ball at a carnival. However, the sounds are what really make the game. The balls slide into place to start the game, each target has it’s own impact sound, and of course the subtle theme music in the background. The only thing missing is the actual sound of the ball flying down the ramp towards it’s unsuspecting target.

The team over at 2n has been working hard on updating Quitit since it’s release a few months ago. As we mentioned in our review, we fell in love with the characters and the gameplay, but it was too repetitive and shallow. 2n has fixed this by adding more items, mini-games, secrets, wardrobe updates for lumpy, and more.

I can’t think of a more influential game on the app store than Flight Control. Ever since that game came out, out spun off what seems like thousands of clones trying to cash in on the amazingly fun and ridiculously simple game. Most of these clones seemed to range from utter crap to complete rip-off, however there have been a few exceptions, like Taxi Jam. Taxi Jam seems to have taken the flight control concept and moved it up to the next level.

If you take Soul Caliber and Final Fantasy and mixed them together, you would end up with Hybrid: Eternal Whisper. Hybrid is the latest RPG from Gamevil, creators of the highly acclaimed Zenonia.
While Zenonia was awesome, in a zeldaish way, Hybrid is the RPG for grown ups that more closely resembles Monster Hunter. Instead of [...]

If I had to use one word to describe the game of football (American football) it would be intensity. Starting up Gameloft’s NFL 2010 you get this feeling right away, the opening video pumps you up, while the sounds and interface immerse you in the full experience.

Minigore also seems to be looking forward. I appreciate that they included open feint into their first release of the game, and a lot of cool options. I’ve also been told by the developers that in an update they are planning a type of radar system, and cool achievements like this one, for a totally new co-op mode. If the developers keep updating like this, Minigore could do as well as Pocket God.
