Atari has just announced its upcoming games for fall/winter, and it includes a doozy.
RollerCoaster Tycoon fans with an iOS device have some cause for celebration today, as Atari has announced its lineup of upcoming games, and the popular theme park simulation is among them. They expect it to hit the App Store sometime in Q1 2013. Atari did not mention the price for the game in its release.
Atari did mention that the game will be a modern twist on the original and will add some cool social features where users can share their custom made roller coasters with friends. I was a huge fan of the game back in the day, and I cannot wait to see it on iOS early next year.
Of course, it wasn’t enough to just announce RollerCoaster Tycoon. Atari also announced Atari Casino, which is, as you can probably guess, a casino game featuring games like slots and blackjack. The game will be free and it will hit the market in Q4 of this year.
Atari also announced a new free game called Outlaw. This is a classic from the VCS (2600) days of Atari. It features colorful, hand drawn graphics and the same Western themes from the original. It has been remade to work with touchscreens. Atari will launch this free game in November.
The last announcement from Atari came in the form of an update for Centipede®: Origins. It will be free-to-play with new weapons, gadgets, maps, iPhone 5 support, and the ability to challenge friends. The update will drop in November.
