Paul Farley from TAG just dropped us a note with details and gameplay video for their Animal Crossing meets Farmville game ‘ Astro Ranch’…The game takes place on an alien world where you have crash landed. Luckily for you the locals are a friendly bunch (well most of them) and help you get on your feet as you attempt to build a life for yourself from scratch. You can choose to play as either Sindy or Max, as you farm crops, raise livestock, partake in mini-quests for the residents, or simply chillout with a bit of fishing (Animal Crossing style) or do a little prospecting as you pan for gold.
We’ve followed the game for the over a year, with hands-on with various builds. Early beta builds only allowed us to get a taste of life in Astro Ranch with basic farming and interaction with the locals, but the latest version opened up it’s full potential, allowing us to tend alien live stock, sell produce and of course go fishing (which requires both touch and tilt control).
