Who doesn’t love going to the arcade and playing that arcade basketball game? Well now you can take on this challenge from your iPhone with Arcade Hoops. It’s a fun little distraction, but it gets kind of old fast, after all it’s an arcade game that you will probably play for one or two rounds and move on to the next one. Read on for the scores.
Overall, arcade hoops is a fun little diversion that you might play for five minutes and move on to something else. It’s a decent enough little game though. It would be better suited being free, because for what the game is, $1.99 is a little steep.
Presentation & Graphics:
The graphics look really nice, but it’s very hard to tell where the hoop is, meaning if it’s closer or farther away and that can be very frustrating when you are trying to determine how hard you need to shoot.
The sound isn’t bad, but it’s also nothing special.
The game is pretty fun to play, and the controls work well, you flick your finger up the screen to shoot the basketball, and it’s pretty accurate, but the aforementioned problem with telling where the hoop is distance wise take the gameplay score down.
This is a game you will pick up and play and very short burst, but it is a good fun for those bursts.
Not a bad little game, but the price is a little too high for what the game brings to the table, and I have a hard time recommending anyone spend 2 bucks on it, for free, or even $.99 it would be a decent value.
