5 Fingers Gaming Bundle

Five completely different game developers have decided to set aside their competitive spirit and join forces in what I hope becomes a new trend on the app store.

They are each contributing a game to the “5 Fingers Gaming Bundle,” which will be released on the app store soon. This will be one app, that contains 5 games, much like several consoles have done with “arcade packs” and such. Why is this exciting/revolutionary? It will be out for only $4.99, which is a huge discount compared to buying the games individually. Although the initial price will be limited (as all good things are on the App Store), I’m pretty sure the final price will still be discounted from the total worth of the games. Here is the list of included games, with both the individual price and our review score (when available):

•Blackbeard’s Assault by Warhorse Games – $1.99

•Up There by Me, Veiled Games – $1.99

•Chopper by Majic Jungle: $4.99 – App Store rating: 3.5 Stars
•Burnball by IMS: $1.99 – App Store rating: 3 Stars
•Sneezies by Antair Games $1.99

If I’m doing my math right, that’s a $13 game, with an average score of 4/5! Don’t get me wrong, I’m not here to advertise for these guys, but damn does this really need any advertising? 99 cents an app. Even if you already own a couple of these games, you’re still saving money!

I spent some time with the bundle tonight, and I must say I enjoyed all 5 games. It’s a very nice variety, so my guess is that at least 3/5 games should interest you, if not all of them. The one complaint I have is the inability to jump back to the main game menu without exiting to the home screen. Hopefully this option will be added in a future update if possible.

Five Finger Gaming Bundle should be out today, and will be available here.

I know it would more then likely not become common place for this type of bundle to happen with different devs, but I would love to see the more prolific companies like Pangea and ngmocco do a bundle of their games at a discounted price.

I enjoyed all the games in this. It’s a more “pick-up-and-play” bundle of games, rather than being a bunch of really in-depth titles. I couldn’t imagine this kind of thing happening with a bunch of $4.99-$9.99 games, but that would be cool.
