Flipt – Inside out upside down puzzle madness.
Flipt takes the spatial puzzle to the extreme, and lets you use all you mental rotational objects skill. The aim of the game is to get the protagonist to the exit. The controls of the character are all touch based, but rotating the iPhone/iPod Touch does the important [...]

Another month has gone by, and as usual there is a need for a roundup. February brought a lot of interesting games, and there are a couple of gems found within the roundup worthy of your attention.
An Assassin in Orlandes – polished gamebook.
I remember “playing” gamebooks as a kid. Making the correct choices following the [...]

Oh Alice, dear Alice. You have been running around chasing rabbits all my life, and you seem intent on keeping up this unruly behaviour. White rabbits might be sweet and all but please get an iPod Touch instead. It is much safer than venturing into the Wonderland. But I understand the draw, the excitement of [...]

I hate random battle encounters, and now I have two games on my iPhone that introduced the phenomenon to a wider audience. Final Fantasy released back in 1987 for the NES is one of the forefathers of iPhone hits such as Zenonia. Final Fantasy is one of those classics that need to be experienced in [...]

Newton is one of those geniuses that discovered something that was always there: gravity. If he hadn’t we would still have apples falling, planes flying and balls dropped. Of course someone would eventually have induced that all apples fall according to the law of gravity. But now it was Newton that did it, and he [...]

Mankind has always looked upwards, gazing beyond the clouds. Mankind wondered what was beyond the blue. It started sacred fires, sacrificed chickens, and built temples to please that found up there. If they only had known what really happens up there they would have eaten the chickens, and partied hard in the temples. Because up [...]

The Contour Showcase is the true old-timer in my collection of cases. It is also the case I have used for the most. I got it two years ago when I looked for a sturdy case with a belt clip. In total I think I have used it for about a year, and it is [...]

If you want to have a reaction from the people around you the Speck ToughSkin is definitely the way to go. It looks like a tire wrapped around the iPhone, and the deep threads breathe masculinity…gone wrong. If your primary interests are moonshine, custom cars and cheap tobacco you can’t go wrong with the ToughSkin. [...]

This arty game certainly has a distinct look, but good looks can’t sugar coat this disappointing RPG from Gamevil.

Last summer I went canoeing in the Swedish wilderness. Canoeing is hazardous to any phone, and the iPhone felt extra vulnerable. As with everything you care about you want to keep it safe. Finding a watertight case proved impossible. I found products for other phones by a company called OtterBox. Sadly there wasn’t a watertight [...]

I have a limited amount of artistic talent, and that has resulted in failed attempts at oil painting and learning to play the guitar. Heck when I have created my own pictures for use on the TouchGen frontpage they have been replaced by more polished versions by Nigel. That further proves that I should stay [...]

Ah we meet again my dear Mr Dracula, at least that is what I presume from the title Dracula: Path Of The Dragon – Part 1. There is actually a lack of vampires in this first part of three starring Father Arno Moriani. As Father Moriani you have travelled by train to Transylvania to investigate [...]

The packaging it came in was pretty smart but nothing too special. A triangular case with the buds at the top, like and object of worship atop a paper pyramid. Inside I found the buds, a bag, and two sets of replacement ear tips (foam and silicone). After wrestling the earbuds out of the package I still didn’t know what to think. I was quite impressed by the plug and the cord. The cord is thin, and wrapped in the patented “invisible shield” material making it very strong, sturdy, and tangle resistant. This cord was impossibly thin, but felt stronger than any headphone cord I had seen before.
