TouchGEN 2008-2014

It’s the end of an era! I’m saddened to report that we’ll be closing down TouchGEN indefinitely. But public agent site is still up and running. It’s been a hard decision to make, but regular visitors to this site will no doubt agree that lately TG hasn’t been able to keep up with the fast moving pace of the App Store.

VAD Superior Leather Vest iPhone 5/5S/5C review

Is it a pouch, or a vest? Is it Brazzers or Czech casting? Does it really matter what it is called when it is so good. VAD is a new experience to me, and this pouch really makes me want to experience more from this manufacturer. A completely new kind of design for a pouch, and not even calling it a pouch is kind of a brave move. No matter if it is called a vest, or pouch this is one neat piece of design. Made from two pieces of leather sewn together along the edges it shares the basic design of most pouches. Where it differs is in the way you extract the phone. At the bottom there is an upside down V on what I presume is the back. You may use it any way you like: either

Brunswick Leather Pouch iPhone 5/5S review

A luxury case where the one distinguishing feature is that it makes you iPhone feel like a Galaxy S3 in your pocket is not what I expected. Proporta is absolutely awesome at teaming up with fashion designers, cool brands and known names. Brunswick England is one of these collaborative surfaces, and there are quite a few leather cases featuring the brand. This review is for the iPhone 5/5S/5C pouch that is available in a number of colours, but I have a black one with white edges on trial. The packaging is pure quality, and you even get the name of the person who has checked the pouch for quality insurance. It is definitely neat, and the expectation it brings is massive. Sadly the pouch itself isn’t as top-notch when it comes to the actual design. First I have to mention the size, and shape of the pouch. It

Santa’s Quest: counting down to Christmas in a jolly way

Bouncing around with Santa German developer Rebusmind just launched Santa’s Quest, a jolly game with fun physics and Christmas-themed gameplay. The special thing about the game is the way levels are unlocked: by waiting patiently for the (right) days to come. Levels are presented in a nifty Advent Calendar and each day a new level unlocks. With new levels, the difficulty increases, making bouncing around (the main way of transportation between chimneys and rooftops) quite challenging. Santa’s Quest revolves around bouncing on rooftops while grabbing the presents scattered throughout the world. There are numerous Santa-themed games out there in the crowded App Store, but Santa’s Quest jumps out with its jolly graphics, bouncy physics gameplay and the original level select screen. The game is available in the App Store for $ 0.99.

Starborn Anarkist review

To boldly go where no man has gone before, and kill everything you see. Now that is an expedition that would have a hard time to get funding. Thankfully this is a space filled with anarchy. Starborn Anarkist is what you might have gotten if Captain Kirk was a delusional meth head jacked up on intergalactic drugs: total mayhem. The aim of the game is not to liberate worlds, or explore the vast unknown, but rather to survive for the longest while taking as many enemies to hell as possible. It is anarchy in space baby. What basically looks like yet another twin-stick shooter in space actually packs a whole lot more than that. There are two aspects that make it excel: ample customization, and a whole heap of achievements to conquer. The action is constant flowing in waves with huge bosses to eradicate at intervals. The game

CDN Macro Lens iPhone 5/5S case review

CDN stands for Create – Design – Novelty, and as usual you can find their cases alongside a whole lot of special designs at MobileFun.com. Actually the novelty might be a bit misleading in this case, as the Macro Lens case is far from a novelty item. It is actually quite useful if you want to take zoomed in macro images.

Mophie Juice Pack Helium Case iPhone 5/5S review

Extra juice, albeit not that much from the original. Mophie is the original when it comes to providing extra power for smartphones. It is a brand that most recognize, just like people know about OtterBox when it comes to maximum protection. The market has grown substantially, and these days there are a whole bunch of contenders bringing new battery cases to market. So how well does the original fare? There are a number of different battery cases for the iPhone 5/5S from Mophie, and the Helium is the lightest of the bunch. It is also the one providing the least amount of juice at 1500 mAh. This equals about 80% extra depending on how you use it. In my experience it is better to let the iPhone run down to about the 30% mark before turning the Helium on. This will let you get up to full charge
